Possibilities of using therapies for children with combined disabilities during preschool age

The diploma thesis considers possibilities of using therapies for preschool children with multiple disabilities in special nursery schools and in common nurseries with special classes. Provides an overview of therapies which mostly occur in schools. Based on the theoretical knowledge about single therapies identifies, how are integrated into the educational process in kindergartens. The analysis of the questionnaire survey highlights the shortcomings, that were the basis for a proposal to streamline therapies in these facilities.

Canistherapy in school for children with special needs : children with multiple disabilities THESIS ABSTRACT The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis deals with the characteristics of canistherapy, its methodology and terminology, its phases of development and the current approach of this method. Leisure time activities of the individuals with mental or combined handicap in the institution SPMP ÚSVIT v Havlíčkově Brodě.

This bachelor thesis titled Free time Activities of People with Mental Disabilities and Multiple Disabilities in SPMP ÚSVIT Facility in Havlíčkův Brod in its theoretical part aims to clarify the concepts of free time and its use for people with disabilities. It also covers the issue of mental disabilities and combined defects of clients attending the ÚSVIT SPMP facility in Havlíčkův Brod. The research part of my bachelors thesis was compiled using a qualitative method which consisted of documentation analysis and semi-structured interviews. The aim of the research part was to map how the clients of the day centre ÚSVIT SPMP in Havlíčkův Brod spend their leisure time and to find out whether the clients are satisfied with the choice of the leisure activities. The results show that the ÚSVIT SPMP facility in Havlíčkův Brod offers a wide and varied range of leisure activities for its clients. Clients learn many useful and practical skills that can be used in life. The most popular activity in the day care centre was cooking, other favourite activities include ceramics, sewing and gardening. The research showed that physical activities are the least favourite. All the clients excel at manual work. The data brought by my research provide an overall picture of how people with mental handicap or multiple disabilities spend their leisure time in day care centre ÚSVIT SPMP in Havlíčkův Brod. The thesis can serve as a comparative material from the point of view of the quality of the offered services in similar facilities.
Ethical Problems And Dilemmas Encountered By Social Workers At AKORD Social Welfare Institution for Persons With Mental and Combined Disabilities

Thesis examines ethical problems and dilemmas encountered by social workers at AKORD social welfare institution for persons with mental and combined disabilities. First part contains definitions of mental disability, combined disabilities; reports on social services and introduces AKORD social welfare institution. Principal part of the thesis defines five ethical problems and dilemmas and presents research results. Following part focuses on solving ethically difficult situations and application of ethical theories on example of ethical problem. Final chapter summarizes new findings and recommended solutions.
Needs and Their Fulfillment For Persons With Mental and Combined Disabilities in Selected Facilities For Adults In Prague

Bachelor thesis examining the needs and need fulfillment of persons with mental and combined disabilities in selected adult facilities in Prague. The theoretical part contains definitions of mental disability, retardation and combined disability and describes the needs of persons with mental disabilities. This section then reports on social services and the Social Services Act, and evaluates the present condition of social services in Prague. The practical part analyzes three selected daily welfare institutions - Modry Klic, Ruka Pro Zivot and Ratolest - and assess their success in meeting the biological, psychological and social needs of their clients. Overall, the rate of satisfaction with clients' need fulfillment in these selected institutions is relatively high.
